Cthulhu Dark is a tabletop roleplaying game of cosmic horror, in the style of H.P. Lovecraft. It’s about the things we fear, amplified until they are unbearable. It’s about stories that genuinely creep you out, not well-worn tropes and creatures you’ve seen hundreds of times before. And it’s about bleak horror, in which humans are powerless when confronted by hyper-intelligent alien horrors. You can’t beat them. You can’t fight them. You can only watch, run, hide and fear.
I dig Cthulhu Dark because the rules are elegant, short, and easy to learn. We will probably delve into some grown-up material, so I’d call this an 18+ event. Characters created at the table… dice provided.
Important: priority will be given to folks who join the event on Black Diamond Game’s TTRPG page – BDG Roleplayers. (If you won’t be able to make it on the night for some reason please come back to the thread and let me know.) I encourage all interested parties to come if you can’t sign up, but bring something along to play in case we need to accommodate more people! (Usually rules light stuff is best in these situations.)
As with other scheduled BDG events, on Indie Night there’s a $5 buy-in that is returned to you as store credit. (Always free to first timers, so come give it a try!)
